A clinical medicine background combined with metabolic and lifestyle medicine certification. Dedicated to reconstructing how we approach weight resistance.
I began my medical training at King's College London, where I earned my MBBS degree. During my subsequent 8+ years practicing clinical medicine in the NHS, I worked across general practice, endocrinology, and metabolic clinics.
Across all these settings, I witnessed the emotional and metabolic exhaustion of patients who had done everything right on paper. They followed standard guidelines, restricted food, and exercised diligently, yet their biochemistry fought back.
Rather than questioning the guidelines, clinical structures often questioned the patient's compliance, assuming 'lapses in willpower.' As a medical professional, I found this explanation biochemically inadequate.
To expand my toolkit, I pursued training with the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine (BSLM) and completed my SCOPE certification with the World Obesity Federation. These credentials deepened my focus on hormone receptor dynamics, sleep cycles, autonomic stress responses, and heritage food biochemistry.
